Story:

Max Zander is an elite cop. After years of service for a special unit he returns to Germany. Following a raid against the Russian mafia head Baklanov he loses his best friend Leo. Max is devastated and begins a private vendetta - but Leo's murderers cannot be brought to justice with legal means. So Zander starts leading a double life. By day he upholds the law working as a police officer, by night he puts on the mask of a clown to be able fight the mobsters without being recognised.
