"Cobra 11"-Car-Test

On October 9, 2007, RTL organised something
special to promote their show, "Alarm for Cobra 11“. Erdoğan Atalay
and his current TV partner Gedeon Burkhard tested cars on the track of the ADAC
Safe Driving Center in Grevenbroich.
The cars in the test were the sports car Audi R 8 (430 hp) and the small car Daihatsu
Travis (60 hp).
Race car or small car ? Which one made the race ?
Gedeon Burkhard proved his driving skills on the test
track behind the wheel of the Audi R 8, while Erdoğan discovered the joys of
driving a small car. Both actors enjoyed the test driving, despite of the foggy
weather. The stuntmen present were needed for a little show scene to help
finding out which car should be used to transport two criminals. No problem for
the Daihatsu Travis, but the Audi R 8 did not have enough room. So one
“criminal” was stowed away under the hood, while the other one had to walk
behind the car …
