Jan and Semir hear on the radio from a dramatic accident: a black Jaguar has driven another car from the road and killed the driver. The cops start to chase the culprit. Just when they are about to arrest him, their car is hit by a black van and the end up in the ditch. Not much later the cops encounter the black van again, when they catch it speeding. They follow it. Even though they lose the car, they now know the number plate. The trace leads them to an undertaker. The owner admits to having a van, but on inspection it shows no collision marks. It seems there must be another van, so the cops have to start all over. Another trace leads to a robot fighter tournament. While fighting robots attack each other in the basin of a decommissioned swimming pool Jan spots his arch enemy Joseph Tscherne, whom he had thought dead, in the audience. They fight, but Tscherne gets away. The next morning Jan and Semir are handed the file of the accident with the Jaguar and suddenly everything makes sense. Volker Senger, the man who was killed, had been responsible for security at the Landeszentralbank which is expecting the delivery of a ton of gold just now. No doubt: Tscherne is planning to rob the transport. And indeed: en route the gold transport is getting attacked. Jan and Semir cannot prevent the theft of the gold, but their boss Engelhardt manages to track down the robbers hide-out. Tscherne and his accomplice, robotic expert Friedwinkler get arrested and the case seems solved. But things are not as they seem. Vogt kidnaps Andrea on her wedding day and blackmails the police. Andrea will only be released unharmed when Tscherne and Friedwinkler are released. Semir accepts the terms and meets the kidnapper on a parking lot. But Vogt has no intention to let Andrea live … (© tvinfo)

Episode "Um jeden Preis - At All Costs" (16-09-2004)

(c) RTL 14 year old Lisa Scwarz (Lilli Hollunder) is kidnapped from the stables. The masked kidnappers – Manuel Krosser and Justus Haak – first they stun the nanny and then get away with Lisa. Beate Schwarz (Franziska Stavjaneik), Lisa’s mother is a friend of Anna Engelhardt. Engelhardt knows the family and is aware that Beate’s marriage to her second husband Victor is over. Beate wants a divorce. Vincent Schwarz, Lisa’s step-father, plays a shady role in the events. His relationship to Lisa is rather cool, his real estate firm is broke and his statements are contradictory. If the divorce goes through, he will be left with nothing, because Beate comes from a rich family and a marriage contract protects her wealth from Vincent. Vincent’s lawyer Justus Haak, an old friend, is quite uncooperative towards the police. Haak has often defended Vincent in court, as his business methods are notorious. It turns out that Vincent’s company is nearly bankrupt. Are those two behind the kidnapping? Two Million Euros are demanded. But the exchange goes wrong and Lisa is not released. Not much later Haak is found shot dead. In the meantime Kross is hiding with Lisa in a quarry. Then he gets a call: Beate has gone to the stables. Krosser uses his chance, waits for Beate there and tells her to come to the quarry to hand over the money. There Beate Schwarz finds out that she has been betrayed by the nanny. And both women realise that Krosser has no intention to let them live. (© tvinfo)

Episode "Freunde in Not - Friends In Need" (23-09-2004)

(c) RTL Richard Denz Denz (Andreas Durban), a small time crook, only barely escapes an attack on his life. He stole high tech weapons and now the original owners are on to him. They even hired the beautiful killer Eva (Lucia Gailová) to take care of Denz. Jan and Semir who are investigating the case of the stolen weapons, find Denz just seconds too late; Eva shoots him dead and escapes. Who is behind the assassination assignment? The investigations lead nowhere. A coincidence provides a new lead. Much to the annoyance of Anna Engelhardt Bonrath and Herzberger wreck a new police Porsche. To make up for this, Bonrath and Herzberger decide to conduct their own investigations. And they are successful: a hot trace leads them to the gangsters that ordered his death. But unfortunately they run into a trap and get caught. Jan and Semir only have one goal now, to save their friends before they have to suffer the same fate as Denz … (© tvinfo)

Episode "Showdown" (30-09-2004)

(c) RTL Betty (Alexandra Seefisch), a young table dancer is chased on the autobahn and driven of the road. She is admitted to hospital with severe injuries. Jan and Semir start investigating and question Betty’s boss Jo Ricks. Jo tells them that his competitor Rocco Spillan has been bothering for a while and trying to take his dancers from him. Jo implied that he holds Rocco responsible for the attack on Betty. On their way to Rocco’s bar the cops are informed that the van that chased Betty belongs to Rick’s competitor. When Semir and Jan enter the bar they are in for a big surprise for it turns out that Rocco Spillane is no other than their old friend Kai Schröder (Markus H. Eberhard). He protests his innocence and in turn accuses Jo Ricks. Ricks has been trying every trick in the book to get Schröder out of business and the attack on Betty would fit to his mafia methods. Schröder explains he had been trying to help Betty because she had been in trouble with Ricks and wanted to get out. Meanwhile the forensic experts find a nearly fully burned video tape inside of Betty’s car. Before it can be examined, Semir and Jan are told the terrible news: Betty has been murdered in the hospital … (© tvinfo)

Episode "Wer Wind sät - Sow The Wind" (07-10-2004)

(c) RTL Andrea is involved in an accident on the autobahn, after she has been driven of the road. At first, everything looks like a unintentional incident that caused the accident, but then the stolen car that drove Andrea of the road is found. Its driver has fled. Inside the car a greeting card with the message: “sow the wind and reap the whirlwind” is found. Semir immediately remembers something and while the accident is still a mystery to his colleagues, he starts to investigate on his hunch. Like he suspected, it turns out that his former colleague Robert Krüger has recently been released from prison after a long sentence. Krüger had shot an innocent woman while on duty, then manipulated the evidence and tried to convince Semir to make a false statement. But Semir refused to lie and Krüger was sentenced to ten years in prison. Now Krüger is out for revenge on Semir. Semir manages to track Krüger down and promptly walks into a trap his former colleague has set for him. When Jan finds out was has happened ten years ago, it is already too late; Semir has been trapped and a murderous game begins. It is a game in which Krüger makes the deadly rules. Semir and Jan realise that they have to break those rules, to have any chance of overcoming their adversary. But Krüger is always a step ahead of them … (© tvinfo)

(c) RTL For his birthday Jan gets to drive a leased Ferrari for a day as a present from his colleagues. But Jan cannot enjoy it for long, on his first stop at a gas station the Ferrari gets stolen! The cops find out that this fits to a series of stolen luxury sports cars. In every case the cars belonged to customers of the Westphal dealership. Westphal has no explanation for this. The investigations take on another dimension for Semir and Jan, when the attractive insurance detective Laura Andress gets involved in the case. Laura and Semir had a short affair when they met at the police academy yeas ago. Laura offers Semir her help. When Semir refuses she feels slighted and starts to work against them. At almost ever step of the investigation their paths cross and Laura seems to be a step ahead of them every time; even where the cop’s boss is concerned, who finds out results from Laura before Semir and Jan have a chance to make their report. Engelhardt orders the men to work with Laura from now on; and even though Semir protests, he must obey. When the next luxury sports car is stolen, Jan and Semir make a discovery on the surveillance video: the thief was using an original car key. This leads the cops back to the Westphal dealeraship… (© tvinfo)

Episode "Muttertag - Mothersday" (28-10-2004)

(c) RTL Jan und Semir assist an attractive blond woman, whose car has stopped on the autobahn. When Jan spots a weapon in her car, she tries to escape. The cops start chasing her, supported by Bonrath and Herzberger, who happen to be accompanied by Herzberger’s mother Elfriede who just arrived for a visit. But after a crash the woman can get away. Elfriede, who is looking around excitedly and curious, accidentally takes a few papers from the woman’s car. The cops find out that the car belongs to an insurance salesman named Thorsten Strunk and that the woman is an internationally wanted thief, called ‘Panther’, who is known to flirt with rich men, winning their trust and clearing their safe. Meanwhile Herzberger and his mother are visited by two masked men who demand the papers Elfriede has taken. When the papers are handed over, one of the masked men wants to kill them, against the wishes of his accomplice who is the “Panther”. The timely arrival of Semir and Jan prevents the murder, but the two gangsters get away. As it turns out, the papers Elfriede had taken were the blueprints to an alarm system that is solely used for objects insured by Adler Insurance; and this is the company Thorsten Strunk is working for. To all appeances is Strunk the latest victim of “Panther” and she stole the blueprints from him. A hot trace leads them to the industrialist and jewellery collector Georg Sander. He owns a safe-deposit box in a bank, where he is keeping his most valuable jewellery. Jan and Semir keep an eye on the bank – but nothing happens. What the cops don’t know: ‘Panther’ is blackmailed by Georg Sander. (© tvinfo)

Episode "Gnadenlos - Without Mercy" (04-11-2004)

(c) RTL Business man Weber is standing trial for drug trafficking but due to cunning intervention by his lawyer Dr. Lohse he is acquitted. But immediately after the trial Weber is shot dead by an unknown man wearing a police uniform. During their investigation of this murder Jan and Semir find out that Weber is not the first drug lord to be murdered. Their prime suspect is Weber’s partner Brenner. But questioning him does not yield any new clues. Then it is found out that the murder weapon has been secured a while ago during a police raid and should be under lock and key. Is the murderer indeed a cop? Then there is an assignation attempt on Brenner. And again the criminal is wearing a police uniform. Fortunately Brenner is wearing a bullet proof vest and remains unharmed. Jan and Semir try without success to convince the prosecuting attorney Schrankman and her assistant Sommer that this murderer and attack series is linked to corrupt police officers. When the two cops are not much later are withdrawn from the case they realise that they have stirred up a hornets’ nest. They continue their investigations on their own … (© tvinfo)

Episode "Falsche Freundschaft - False Friendship" (11-11-2004)

(c) RTL The driver of a pick-up truck provokes a terrible accident, then races away. Semir and Jan follow the car. Fleeing from the police the pick-up truck overturns. The cops rescue the driver, Björn Weber from the car before it explodes. Even though the sport student only suffers a broken leg he dies. The autopsy reveals that he died from a new party drug. A message on Weber’s cell phone leads the cops to the university, Weber’s meeting point with a dealer. But the drug courier manages to escape and the cops remain unaware that the dealer is Bonrath’s son Jochen. Meanwhile Kant, drug dealer and manager of the discothek “Planet Fun”, starts business with sport student and drug manufacturer Mike Jäger. Jochen, who is dealing for his alleged friend Mike, shows up at the police station the following day and finds out from Herzberger that Weber died from the party drug. When, not much later, Mike, Lars and two helpers steal chemicals from the university they are caught in the act by Semir and Jan. After a wild chase the thieves get away, but Lars lost a key that is found by the cops. The key fits into a locker at the university in which drugs are stored. They police also finds a finger print of Mike Jäger, who is has a criminal record. In his apartment the cops find a video, revealing Bonrath’s son as a drug courier. Meanwhile the drug gang hides out in a laboratory where they begin production. But Jochen now desperately tries to convince Mike to stop drug trafficking. Rashly he threatens to go to the police and Mike takes Jochen prisoner. Kant decides that he must die… Can Jan and Semir save Jochen before it’s too late ? (© tvinfo)

(c) RTL After robbing a bank the thieves flee in a van on the autobahn. Jan and Semir start the chace, but suddenly the van picks up speed until it reaches nearly 300 km/h and races away. Jan and Semir are left to stare disbelieving after the fading headlights. The cops start to investigate in the local tuning milieu. The hub of the scene is the shop of siblings Rico and Indira Abel. Jan pretends to be a customer and meets a cool beauty who turns out to be shop owner Indira Abel. Jan goes undercover: he participates in an illegal car race and wins Indira’s heart – much to the dismay of her suspicious brother Rico. Back at the police station Jan reports what he has found out. He is convinced that Indira and Rico’s Gang have nothing to do with the bank robberies. He suspects a rival gang, lead by the old campaigner Wolf. Semir arrests Wolf and his gang. But while Wolf is questioned another Bank is robbed. Suspicion against Indira and Rico’s gang hardens. Semir accuses Jan of having lost his objectivities because of his love for Indira. Jan wants to prove her innocence and returns to the tuning gang. He has no idea of the danger he is getting himself into.
