Hinrich Wanrath, head of a technology company, is kidnapped. The circumstances of the kidnapping are similar to a series of murders that happened years ago and were never solved. The trail leads to a dubious internet firm doing illegal business with flirting websites.

Semir and Tom discover the dead body of a woman next to the Autobahn. The circumstances of her death are similar to a previous series of murders that were never solved. The trace leads to a dubious internet company that is doing illegal business with flirt homepages.

Laura's Entscheidung - LAURA’S DECISION (21-09-2006)

Tom and Semir foil a kidnapping but both the kidnappers as well as their intended victim, Karin Klein, who works as a cleaning woman, get away. Back at the precinct they find out that Karin’s id is fake and that her real name is Laura Neiser. Laura Neiser has been officially declared dead two years ago. It seems that Laura has faked her own death as well as her daughter’s to escape her husband.

Goltz, who has a criminal record, becomes a murder suspect. As the evidence against him seems solid, he flees and tries to find the real murderer on his own. Tom and Semir question Goltz’s wife Margit to find clues as to his whereabouts.

Tom and Semir pick up their colleagues Bonrath and Herzberger from the airport. When Bonrath opens his suitcase at the precinct he finds detailed plans for a robbery in it. As it turns out, he picked up the wrong suitcase. The robbers want to get back their suitcase, as they urgently need its contents, and take Bonrath hostage.
