Content:
First Sperling discovers the badly beaten Sabri
on a nightly street, then the tried Inspector suffers from a lumbago. This way
impaired Sperling cannot refuse Sabri's sympathy nor his unconventional cure. It
is a strange story that Sperling is getting himself involved in: Sabri tells
him about his Bulgarian girl-friend Zenia, who is being held against her will
in a strip bar where she is forced to work as a prostitute. With the
Inspector's help Sabri is now hoping to rescue her. Sperling agrees to help and
together with Rhode he storms Paustian's Club the following day. But Zenia's
behaviour towards her alleged boyfriend and saviour is strange.
Sperling wouldn't be Sperling if he hadn't already
become suspicious. So when a terrified Zenia shows up at his guest house, he
understands her without words: it had been Sabri who lured Zenia and her sister
Lidia from Bulgaria to Germany and then sold them to a brothel. Zenia managed
to run away from there and sought refuge in Paustian's Club. But Sabri as well
as the heavies Rottmann and Dragan are already looking for her. Sperling can
convince Zenia to cooperate with the police. He is keen on nailing Koester, the
presumed head of the white slave trader organisation. But then Zenia is put
under heavy pressure not to talk... and time is running out for Sabri as
well...
