Alladin, son of a
poor tailor, reluctantly takes over the family business after his father’s
death. His encounter with a Mauritanian sorcerer who claims to be his long lost
uncle unexpectedly changes his life. Aladdin acquires immense wealth and an
inconspicuous old lamp. This lamp is the home of a mighty spirit who can grant
wishes… and so Aladdin even gets to marry the king’s daughter.
But the sorcerer
is envious of his happiness; he steels the lamp from him and with the help of
the spirit also the princess and the castle. Aladdin is inconsolable. How can
he win back his beloved wife ? Then he remembers a small ring that he once
received from the sorcerer as a reward…
